Paris and Barcelona, here I come!

I am so excited!! Last week my partner was asked to go to Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress as part of the ‘LG’ team. What a great opportunity for him.

His family lives in Paris which is only 1 ½ hour plane trip form Barcelona so he decided to go and visit them too.

He really wanted me to come with him and I really wanted to go… so as of last Friday… I AM GOING TO PARIS AND BARCELONA!!

Eiffel Tower

We leave on 8th of Feb and get back on 18th Feb so we are in Barcelona for Valentine’s Day… how romantic! Although we will be working very hard at the congress on that day.

But the best thing about going to Paris… apart from being there with my partner, meeting his family and seeing the Eifel Tower is… wait for it… there is a stitching and quilting show on exactly the same time as we will be there!!!

So guess where I’ll be? You got it… we’ll have a whole day at L’Aiguille en Fête. It’s on for three days (10Feb – 13 Feb) and there are over 220 stalls!

I am so lucky and so blessed to be going.

Mez is so excited for me, and is trying really hard to sneak into my suitcase. She did some research and found a wonderful shop that I just have to visit. It’s called Ultramod (14 Rue Monsigny, 75002 Paris, France) and it’s a dressmaker and sewing store that has been selling buttons, ribbons, hats, and silks since 1890. All vintage and very old. How fantastic!

There is one other shop I want to tell you about it’s called ‘Le Rouvray’ and it’s a patchwork fabric shop. It’s owned by an American and stocks a lot of American fabrics but does sell a small range of French fabrics apparently. So if my partner is not sick of fabric, I will let you know what it’s like.

So I’m off to start packing. I will have so many photos to share with you!

Happy Quilting!

PS. Did I tell you how excited I am!!!
