Stitching our way to the Daylesford Craft Experience

Well, the weekend was awesome! My friend Amanda and I went to the Daylesford Craft Experience and what an experience it was! A bunch of ladies all sitting around stitching, new patterns to get our teeth into and the most delicious food all day… what more could you ask for!

We walked into the room and there were goodie bags as far as the eye could see. We turned around and there was a wall full of colourful projects to gush over.

We found our seat with our named goodie bag, instantly we had everything out and were pouring over all the patterns and yummy chocolates, this was followed by lots of ‘oooohs’ and ‘ahhhhs’.

It just got better as the day went on, there were give aways, prizes and what would a craft weekend be without show and tell!  We saw some amazing projects people had made and so much that inspired me.

The weekend was hosted by Merrilyn from Threadneedle Craft Daylesford and Zoe from Purl’s Palace.  The lively and vibrant guest presenters Melanie from Melly & me, Jodie from Ric Rac and Anette from Anette Eriksson were all so much fun and they spent time showing us lots of litte tricks to get the best out of our stitching.

Melly & me 'Stuffie'When I finally got home Sunday night, I was buzzing with so much excitement that I sat down with Mum and chewed her ear off for ages about every little thing that we did and saw.

So all I can say is thanks to everyone who put it together it was AWESOME! And I can’t wait for the next Retreat Immerse yourself in Stitching” in September with Leanne Beasley of “Leanne’s House”, Rosalie Quinlan of “Rosalie Quinlan Designs” and Melanie Hurlston of “Melly and me”.

I think Mum will have to come with me, she would never forgive me if I went to another one without her!
